The central government has announced non-productivity linked or ad-hoc bonus to central employees for the financial year 2020-21. However, it also has some conditions. Let us also know about these terms.Â
Who will not get it: There are certain conditions on payment of ad-hoc bonus in case of employees who have resigned, retired or terminated service before March 31, 2021. For example, out of these, bonus will be paid only to those who retired on medical grounds or who died before March 31, 2021. But even in these cases, there must be at least six months of regular service during the year.
These people will get:Â Non-productivity linked bonus (ad-hoc bonus) will be paid to Central Government employees in Group-C and all non-gazetted employees in Group-B. These are employees who are not covered by any productivity linked bonus scheme. Employees of central paramilitary forces and armed forces will also be eligible for the bonus.
How to get: The calculated limit for payment of this bonus will be the monthly emoluments of Rs.7,000. “The quantum of ad-hoc bonus will be calculated on the basis of average emoluments/maximum of calculation, whichever is less,” the expenditure department said.
