At a time when auto fuels and domestic LPG prices are at a high, the price of commercial LPG cylinder too has reached Rs 1623.
The rates breached the Rs 1,600 mark as the 19 kg commercial cylinder prices were hiked by Rs 72.50 on August 1. The hike comes as yet another blow to inflation-inflicted commoners and small businesses which are already reeling under financial crunch due to COVID-19 pandemic and fuel price hikes.
There is no change in 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder prices which remain at Rs 841.50. However, on July 1, the prices of domestic LPG cylinder and commercial LPG cylinder were hiked by Rs 25.50 and Rs 84.50 respectively.
During the first eight months of this year, the price of domestic LPG cylinder witnessed a hike of Rs 140. During the same period, commercial LPG cylinder saw a hike of Rs 300. In February alone the price of LPG cylinder was hiked thrice.
