NPCI has tied up with private sector Yes Bank to launch ‘RuPay On-the-Go’ contactless payment solution.
New Delhi. Digital payment is expanding rapidly in the country. At the same time, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has tied up with the private sector Yes Bank to launch ‘RuPay On-the-Go’ contactless payment solution. . This is a first of its kind facility for the customers.
According to a statement issued by NPCI, the RuPay contactless payment solution will enable customers to make small and large value transactions with everyday wearable accessories. This means that the card acts as a wearable payment solution which is likely to transform the contactless payment space. This will eliminate the need to carry a physical card. In this, customers get the facility of ‘Tap and Pay’.
Features of ‘RuPay On-the-Go’-
>> Facility of RuPay On-the-Go Interoperable, open-loop solution is a quick and secure service for the customers. It will be equipped with smart and better technology.
>> Customers can use the service at RuPay contactless-enabled Point of Sale (PoS) at retail outlets and make payments up to Rs.5,000 without entering a PIN. Customers will have to enter the PIN for making payments above Rs 5000.
>> Apart from this, BHIM provides a virtual RuPay card to the customers of Yes Pay app for online transactions. It can be used for digital and e-commerce transactions.
