There will be a bumper boom. If employee organizations are to be believed, the government can announce it before Diwali.

According to media reports, the Modi government at the Center can increase the DA and DR of more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners by 3 percent before Diwali after 28 percent DA to central employees. Let us tell you that in January 2020- The dearness allowance was increased by 4-4% in 21 and by 3% in June 2020. In these three jumps, the dearness allowance has increased by 11% and now it has reached 28%. Although no official statement has come out so far, but the unions are demanding an increase in dearness allowance soon.

According to media reports, if the total annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of Rs 18,000 will be Rs 60,480, but if we talk about the difference, then the annual increase in salary will be Rs 23760. Now if 3% dearness allowance increases in June, then the total DA will be 31% and on a basic salary of Rs 18,000, the total annual dearness allowance will be Rs 66,960, but if we talk about the difference, then the annual increase in salary will be Rs 30,240. Dearness allowance will be Rs 211,668, but if we talk about the difference, then the annual increase in salary will be Rs 95,592.

Actually, the DA of the employees is to be increased for the second half of the year 2021 as well. Usually it is announced in the month of June, but the DA for June 2021 has not been decided yet. In such a situation, there is speculation that the last three installments will be paid before Diwali and after that a decision can be taken regarding DA. Employees are expected to get at least 3 per cent DA hike, as indicated by the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) data from January 2021 to May 2021. However, no official information has been revealed about when its payment will be made.
