Jaipur: The state government has issued orders for dearness allowance for the employees. This allowance will be given according to the current rate of inflation. Now the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased from 28 to 31 percent. The Finance Department has issued orders in this regard.
The Central Government had issued orders to increase the dearness allowance a few days ago. Along with this, they were waiting for the order to increase the dearness allowance of the state government employee. Meanwhile, the state government had announced to give dearness allowance like the Centre, but orders were not issued. In such a situation, there was doubt among the employees that from when the government will implement the order of dearness allowance. Here the Finance Department has issued an order for dearness allowance to the employees as a gift of Diwali.
- Dearness allowance will be effective from July 1, 2021.
- However, the cash payment of dearness allowance will be available from October 1.
- The increased amount of allowance will be available with the salary of October.
- Apart from this, from July 1 to September 30, the increased amount of dearness allowance will be deposited in the GPF account.
- For the purpose of computing Dearness Allowance, the word ‘Salary’ means Basic Pay.
- Pay drawn in the Pay Matrix of the prescribed levels and will not include other types of pay like special pay.
- 50 paise and above in payment of Dearness Allowance may be rounded off to the next higher rupee.

2021 is as follows
- GPF account for employees recruited before 1-01-2004.
- GPF2004 account for employees recruited after 1-01-2004.
- For employees of Autonomous Bodies, PSUs, Corporations, Boards, the amount will be deposited in GPF-SAB.
Overall, dearness allowance orders have brought relief news for the employees. The allowance will be paid at the current rate of inflation, in such a situation, the employees have got relief in the rising inflation. One month amount of dearness allowance will be received before Diwali.
