Ayushman Bharat card holders: There is big news for Ayushman Bharat card holders in Haryana, from February 3, 600 private hospitals of the state are going to stop giving free treatment under this government scheme.

Ayushman Bharat card holders: The number of beneficiaries of the central government’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana is increasing continuously, but due to the increase in their number in Haryana, hospitals are facing financial difficulties. Due to this, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in Haryana has made a big announcement and said that 600 private hospitals of the state will stop free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Why was this decision taken?

The Medical Association (Indian Medical Association in Haryana) says that the government has not yet paid their reimbursement of Rs 450 crore. In a statement issued by the association, it has been said that their delegation has also met and discussed this problem with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, but no solution has been found yet.

Will not provide treatment from February 3

Due to this problem, IMA Haryana has announced that from February 3, these 600 private hospitals connected to Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Haryana will stop treating patients under this scheme. The organization says that Rs 450 crore of reimbursement is pending with the government and till now only 10-15 percent of the amount has been received.

1.2 crore Ayushman registrations in Haryana

Around 1,300 hospitals in Haryana have been linked to the Ayushman Bharat Yojana run by the Central Government and 600 of these are private hospitals, out of which about 60 hospitals are registered in Gurugram. Talking about the beneficiaries of the state, there are 1.2 crore beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Haryana itself, who are registered. Under this scheme, the Haryana government has also made Chirayu cards.

Started in 2018, free treatment up to 5 lakhs

It is worth noting that the Modi government (PM Modi Govt) launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the year 2018 to provide free health services to the people and so far more than 35 crore Ayushman cards have been made under it. Under this scheme, beneficiaries get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. In the month of September last year, the government made a big change in it and took a big decision in the cabinet meeting and under this, it was decided to include all the elderly above 70 years of age in this Govt Scheme.

CM’s statement on the matter

A statement has also come from Haryana Chief Minister (Haryana CM) Nayab Singh Saini on this whole matter and in this he has openly talked about the controversy on the Ayushman Bharat matter. He has said that, ‘I have met the doctors of the Indian Medical Association and we have paid their dues of Rs 786 crore on January 26. Now some Rs 200 crore is left, which will also be paid as soon as possible.
