Chandigarh To make farmers self-sufficient and doubling their income by 2022, big stakes have gone. It has been told that now the government has planned to give interest free loan of up to 3 lakh rupees, so that farmers do not get burdened under the burden of interest. This is probably the first such scheme in a state. State’s Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister JP Dalal said that despite the banks usually taking 7 percent interest rate on crop loans, the government will make it available to the Annadata at zero percent. Farmers should take crop loans directly from banks instead of the fact that, for this, the idea of preparing a disaster fund plan is underway.

The broker said that 3 percent central government and 4 percent Manohar Lal government will bear the crop loan of 7 percent interest rate. In this way crop loan will be given to the farmer at zero percent only. Agricultural debt is not less than 4 percent in any state of the country. He said that for this, how to finance the farmers according to the utility and income of their land, the Haryana Government has decided to install 17,000 Kisan Mitras, who will advise the farmers as volunteers.

This money will help in developing warehouse, agro based industry and other infrastructure. Plans are being made for this.

The Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said that all the new initiatives taken by the Central Government and the State Government during the last 6 years are in the interest of farmers. For the last two years, the minimum support price (MSP) is declared before the sowing of crops starts. With this the farmer can make up his mind to sow the crop according to his wish.

… then the government will compensate with the difference
The broker said that recently the agricultural ordinance that the central government has brought is in the interest of farmers. If the farmer gets more than the minimum support price (MSP) outside the mandis, he can sell the crop. At the minimum support price, the government will buy otherwise the gap in the price of the crop will be met in the Bhavantar Bharti Yojana.

To increase the income from animal husbandry also, the
broker said that along with agriculture, the animal credit card scheme has been implemented on the lines of the Kisan Credit Card, to increase the income of the farmer from the animal husbandry business. So far, the farms of 1,40,000 cattle herders have been filled.
