Big news for Indian Travelers! Now 7 countries fully vaccinated Indians can travel to, know countries details

As COVID-19 infections continue to rise across the globe, many countries have imposed travel restrictions and health protocols to prevent its further spread.


Amidst all this, some countries have started to ease travel restrictions for international visitors to boost their economy and tourism sector.

In similar news, fully vaccinated Indians who wish to travel out of the country for work or travel, have a number of countries that are open and are easing travel restrictions.

If this has you hooked, here’s a list of 7 countries that fully vaccinated Indians can travel to.

1- United Kingdom
The United Kingdom has recently announced removal of all testing requirements for eligible fully vaccinated travellers, following the success of booster programmes and vaccinations. Reports have it that the new rule will come into effect from February 11, 4 AM.

The United Kingdom is further allowing entry to those who have not been vaccinated yet. However, those who are not vaccinated and are willing to travel to England, will now only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before the second day after arriving in England. Do note that all passengers will be required to complete a Passenger Locator Form.

2- Thailand
There is good news for all those wishing to travel to Thailand in 2022. If latest reports are to go by, Thailand is all set to resume a quarantine-free travel scheme for international travellers from February 1. Revealing more about this, officials in the know-how stated that after the said programme was suspended due to rise in Omicron cases, the tourism-dominated economy of the region suffered a lot.

Reportedly, fully vaccinated travellers will now be able to enter the country under the Test and Go scheme, and will be required to undergo COVID tests on the first and fifth days after arriving.

3- Singapore
The Government of Singapore has recently announced easing certain travel restrictions. As per the updated rules, vaccinated travellers with mild symptoms, could isolate for seven days instead of the previously mandated 10 days, whereas children will be allowed to recover at home. The country has also waived testing measures and scrapped mandatory tests for vaccinated passengers. As such, vaccinated travellers, who have recently recovered from COVID-19, will no longer be required to undergo any testing.

4- Cyprus
The Government of Cyprus has announced that it will lift all travel restrictions on vaccinated travellers in March. Given the current situation, vaccinated travellers with a valid vaccination certificate, including boost shot certificate, will no longer face entry requirements from March 1. The Cyprus Tourism Minister recently made this announcement. As of now, the travel rules that apply for travellers are either to show their negative RT-PCR test report or self-quarantine upon arrival.

Do note that vaccine certificates, without proof of a booster shot, will be accepted in case nine months haven’t passed since they received their second dose.

5- Vietnam
As of January 1, all travellers entering from abroad, must either be fully vaccinated or have proof that they have recovered from the Coronavirus. Referring to this, the country’s Health Ministry informed that the travellers also must be tested for the virus ahead of flying, and undergo three days of quarantine in hotels or at their homes, and undergo a PCR test. Further, those who test negative, will be required to closely monitor their health for two weeks. Also, all those who want to travel to the country for family or business reasons but lack the required documents, will need to seek approval from government officials.

6- Israel
Israel announced lifting of travel restrictions for all countries earlier in January. The government stated that travel restrictions were futile in preventing the spread of the virus. As per the reports, vaccinated travellers from former ‘Red’ list countries (which were then moved to Orange) will be required to undergo quarantine for 24 hours after arriving in Israel, or until they get a negative COVID-19 test result. Further, fully vaccinated travellers from countries on the orange or red list, will only be required to undergo a rapid antigen test. As per the reports, the latest travel rules apply to vaccinated and those who have recently recovered from COVID-19.

7- Saint Lucia
This Caribbean paradise recently announced opening up for travellers and easing the restrictions on travel. As per the reports, fully vaccinated travellers will now be allowed to travel to the country, and enjoy other privileges. Reportedly, the said travellers can stay at a hotel or rental as approved by the government, whereas they can also book car rentals, and enjoy access to all the popular tourist destinations.
