According to the SBI website, the new proposed rates will be effective from April 1, 2024. Let us know by how much the charge has increased for which card. Let us tell you that apart from the annual maintenance charge, 18% GST is applicable on the card.
Classic Debit Card: Under this, the annual maintenance charge for cards including Classic, Silver, Global, Contactless Debit Cards has been increased from the existing Rs 125/+GST to Rs 200/+GST.
Yuva and other cards
Annual Maintenance Charge for Yuva, Gold, Combo Debit Card, My Card (Image Card) has been increased to Rs 250/+ GST from the existing Rs 175/+ GST.
Platinum debit card
The Annual Maintenance Charge for SBI Platinum Debit Card has increased from the existing Rs 250/+GST to Rs 325/+GST.
Premium Business Debit Card
The annual maintenance charge for SBI debit cards like Pride Premium Business Debit Card has been reduced from Rs 350+GST to Rs 425+GST.
Changes in credit card also
SBI Card has also made some changes in its credit card. SBI Cards has said that reward points on rent payment transactions will be suspended for some credit cards from April 1, 2024. Additionally, the accrual of reward points on rental payment transactions for certain credit cards will end on April 15, 2024.
Axis Bank also changed the rules
Let us tell you that Axis Bank has revised its rules regarding airport lounge access of its Burgundy, Delight, Priority and other debit cards. Additionally, the Bank has also revised BookMyShow offers, reward point rules (EDGE Rewards) and a specific feature related to international use of its Debit Card to make the most of your Axis Bank Debit Card.
