New Delhi. After the order of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, it has been made mandatory to install High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) on vehicles in many states of the country. But there are still many states where HSRP has not been imposed on vehicles yet. Keeping this in mind, National Road Safety Council member and road safety expert Kamal Soi has asked other states including Kerala to impose HSRP. After which it may be made mandatory to impose HSRP on vehicles in Kerala very soon.
Road safety expert Kamal Soi said that despite the guidelines of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules and the notification of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the directions issued by the Supreme Court, the Kerala government has not yet taken any step in this direction. At the same time, he said that the state government should implement it immediately without any delay. Because it is mandatory for road safety as envisaged in India according to world standards.
