New Delhi: Jet Airways is once again preparing to fly in the sky. Jet Airways will start its domestic flights from the first quarter of 2022. Jalan Kalrock Consortium has given this information today. Captain Sudhir Gaur will be the acting CEO of Jet Airways.


Jet Airways will fly again
A statement issued by the consortium said that the process of restarting the grounded carrier is on track with the existing Air Operator Certificate (AOC) already under process for re-validation. The consortium is working closely with relevant authorities and airports coordinators on slot allocation, required airport infrastructure and night parking.

The airline was closed in the year 2019
Let us tell you that Jet Airways is going to resume its services after a full three years. The airline has been shut down in April 2019. The consortium of Kalrock Capital and Murari Lal Jalan won the bid to revive this airline in October 2020. On June 22, the resolution plan of Kalrock-Jalan was approved by the National Companies Law Tribunal (NCLT). The Mumbai Bench of the NCLT has given 90 days from June 2022 to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the aviation ministry to allot slots to Jet Airways.


Staff recruitment starts
Captain Gaur said that Jet Airways has already hired more than 150 full time employees. Will start recruitment of more than 1000 employees in all categories by FY 2022. After domestic flights in the first quarter of 2022, Jet Airways 2.0 also aims to start international flights from the third and fourth quarter of 2022. Jet Airways will start its first flight from New Delhi to Mumbai in the first quarter of 2022, the airline aims to have more than 50 aircraft in 3 years and over 100 aircraft in 5 years.
