Due to the second wave of Corona, there was a lockdown in most of the states. Because of this, the Ministry of Road Transport is going to extend the date of requirement of airbags (Date Extended) after December 31.
The Ministry of Road Transport has issued a notification last year making airbags mandatory on both the front seats in vehicles manufactured after March 31, 2021. Apart from this, after 31 August 2031, airbags have been made mandatory on both the front seats on all existing models, but due to the second wave of corona in April and May, the Ministry of Road Transport is going to give four months more relief to the vehicle manufacturers. . Soon a notification regarding this will be issued. After which airbags on both the front seats will be mandatory on all existing models manufactured after December 31, 2021.
During a road accident, the maximum danger in vehicles is to the driver and the person sitting next to him. On a face-to-face collision, even the lives of both of them are made.
