Expenditure dep under the finance ministry said that employees of central paramilitary forces and armed forces will also be eligible for the bonus. The employees who were in service till March 31, 2021, and who have rendered at least six months continuous service during the financial year 2020-21, will be eligible for ad-hoc bonus.
Non-Productivity Linked Bonus will be paid to Central Government employees in Group-C and to all non-gazetted employees in Group-B who do not receive any Productivity Linked Bonus are not included in the plan.
The calculation limit for payment of this bonus will be the average emoluments of Rs.7,000. The ad-hoc bonus will be calculated on the basis of average emoluments/maximum of calculation, whichever is lower, the department said. It was also clarified that in the case of employees who resigned, retired or terminated service before March 31, 2021, the ad-hoc bonus would be paid only to those who retired on medical grounds or with effect from March 31, 2021. Those who died earlier. But even in these cases, there must be at least six months of regular service during the year.
They will benefit
Only those employees who were in service as on 31.03.2021 and have rendered at least six months continuous service during the year 2020-21 will be eligible for payment under these orders. Proportionate pay will be admissible to eligible employees for the period of continuous service from six months to one full year during the year, the eligibility period being taken as per the number of months of service.
Casual Laborers who have worked for at least 240 days for each year for 3 years or more in offices after 6 days week will be eligible for this ad-hoc bonus payment. The amount of ad-hoc bonus will be Rs.1200×30/30.4 ie Rs.1184.21 (up to Rs.1184/-).
The ad-hoc bonus will be calculated on the basis of average emoluments/calculation ceiling, whichever is lower. To calculate the ad-hoc bonus for a day, the average emoluments in a year will be divided by 30.4 (average number of days in the month). Thereafter, it will be multiplied by the number of days of the bonus awarded. For example, taking the calculation limit of monthly emoluments of Rs. 7000 (where the actual average emoluments are more than Rs.7000), the non-PLB (ad-hoc bonus) for thirty days will be Rs. 7000×30/30.4= Overall Rs.6908/-
