The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted employers to find and embrace new ways to stay in business. A survey has revealed the fact that despite easing of Covid restrictions, six out of 10 companies i.e. 60 percent have adopted the policy of work from home.
According to a survey by financial consulting firm Grant Thornton India, more than 65 percent of employers have either introduced work from home as a policy or are valuing the policy as a measure of their maturity and in their employees. Reflects faith. The survey was conducted online by Grant Thornton India among 4,650 respondents across social media platforms.
Working from home is not possible in many areas
However, it was found that work from home policy is not feasible in some sectors such as manufacturing, travel and hospitality, medical and other essential services due to the mode of work. Company Partner Akhil Chandna said, it is imperative that organizations review and evaluate their spheres of influence keeping in view the new working regime, changing regulatory landscape and employee expectations.
This will help ensure that HR systems and processes are designed and integrated to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
