Employees working in the Aviation Maintenance Department of SpiceJet sat on a strike outside Terminal 3 of the Delhi airport. Earlier on 3 September 2021, airline workers went on strike. He then returned to work the same day after a conversation with the management.



New Delhi. A section of SpiceJet employees went on strike at Delhi airport. These employees are angry with the airlines for pay cut and irregular distribution. However, SpiceJet’s chairperson and managing director Ajay Singh had said last month that employees are being paid their full salaries on time. Also, all the issues related to salary have been resolved.

Slogans like ‘Give us our dues’, ‘No salary, no work’ were written on them. The employees working in the security department of the airline also went on strike on 3 September 2021 regarding the same issue. However, after talks with the management, he returned to work the same day.

SpiceJet flights continue to operate as normal

Now it has been resolved. Employees have also returned to work. The spokesperson said that SpiceJet flights are operating normally. SpiceJet had a loss of Rs 934.8 crore in the financial year 2019-20.

The airline incurred a loss of Rs 998.3 crore in the financial year 2020-21. SpiceJet suffered losses due to travel restrictions. In such a situation, the company has cut the salary of employees from 2020. Let us tell you that the aviation industry of the country has been badly affected due to the Corona crisis.


SpiceJet launches new facility

Recently SpiceJet started a new facility for the passengers. Now passengers can book taxis to go out of the airport during the flight itself. This facility can be availed using the airline’s in-flight entertainment platform ‘SpiceScreen’. This new service was first started from Delhi airport. After this the airline will start it at many major airports including Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune.
