Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, while discussing the schemes implemented by the central and state governments in favor of farmers, announced an increase in sugarcane price.

Chief Minister Aditya Nath said in the ‘Kisan Sammelan’ organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha in Vrindavan Yojna in Lucknow, “The state government has decided that till now the price of sugarcane which used to get Rs 325 per quintal, will be Rs 25. Injustice to farmers – Rashtriya Lok Dal
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Dal National Secretary Anil Dubey said in a statement that the increase in sugarcane price by Rs 25 per quintal is unfair to the farmers. He demanded that the sugarcane price should be raised to at least Rs 450 per quintal.

It is noteworthy that the United Kisan Morcha, which has been agitating for the last nine months against the three new agricultural laws of the Central Government, has announced a ‘Bharat Bandh’ on September 27 at the Kisan Mahapanchayat of Muzaffarnagar on September 5.

Vote hit
Addressing the mahapanchayat, Bharatiya Kisan Union spokesperson Rakesh Tikait had called for giving votes and said that “now the slogan will have to be raised that if there is no price for the crops, then no vote.” Tikait had alleged that there was an increase in the sugarcane price under the BSP and SP governments. But the anti-farmer BJP government did not increase the sugarcane price by even a single rupee in four years.

No more theft of buffaloes
Yogi Adityanath said, “Once in the West, an MP told me that cow buffaloes used to be stolen there. We asked if there was so much chaos, then told that if the buffalo car is running and the car driver went somewhere even for five to ten minutes, then the buffalo used to disappear.

Counting the achievements of his government, he said, “Now illegal slaughter houses (slaughterhouses) have been closed in the state and destitute cow places are running.”

Farmer’s suicide stopped
The Chief Minister said that when the farmers were committing suicide, neither the SP was speaking nor the BSP was speaking and the Congress was not even left to speak by the people, even then we were fighting the farmers’ fight. He claimed that no farmer committed suicide in the state or the country between 2014 and 2021.
