The Haryana government has taken an important step towards the empowerment of widowed women. In order to financially empower widowed women, loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be provided without interest from the Women’s Development Corporation in the state. This amount will be released in two separate installments in three years. Women taking loans under this scheme will have to follow certain terms and conditions. With the help of this loan, women will be able to start their own business.
Loan up to Rs 3 lakh will be available
Director of Hair Arts and Skill Development Board, Naresh Selpad informed that a loan of up to Rs. However, for this some terms and conditions will also have to be accepted. He said that this loan will be provided by the Women Development Corporation. For this, the age of the eligible woman should be between 18 to 55 years and the annual income should be up to three lakh rupees. Director Selpad told that the corporation will pay the interest on the bank loan / loan as subsidy, with a maximum limit of Rs 50,000. This amount will be provided in two separate installments in three years.
Skill development of widow women
Director Selpad said that under this scheme, training will be given under the entrepreneurship development program through Punjab National Bank, Khadi Village Industries Board, Institute of Hotel Management, Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises and recognized NGOs to enable women so that Skill development of widow women. He said that training will be provided free of cost by these institutions. After getting the training, women will not feel lack of work efficiency in setting up their own business or small scale industries.
For which work will get loan
Readymade garments, milk production, sewing-embroidery, beauty parlour, manufacturing of carry bags, boutique parlor, taxi-auto, pickle etc. and any other work that the applicant woman is capable of doing, all those works will be given.
