There is bad news for BSNL users. The company has removed its Rs 99 postpaid plan from the billing system. This plan of the company has been discontinued from September 1. In such a situation, now BSNL users can not subscribe to this plan. The company has migrated the existing users of Rs 99 plan to Rs 199 plan, which has also increased their monthly rental.
Users of Rs 99 plan received mobile bill with increased charge this month. This shocked many users. Some users also tried to understand this by calling customer care. In the October 2021 bill, the company had added an additional security deposit of Rs 100. Due to this, the monthly rental of the previous plan of the users has now become Rs 199. Users who used to get Rs 99 + GST bill earlier, now they can get Rs 299 + GST bill after the plan is revised.
BSNL has said that with the removal of the Rs 99 plan, its subscribers have now been migrated to the company’s cheapest monthly rental plan i.e. Rs 199. Along with this, BSNL made it clear that the users who had subscribed to the Rs 99 plan under the annual payment scheme, they will still remain on this plan. The company will shift these users to the Rs 199 plan after the end of the annual payment or advance rental period.
