The central government has decided to restore biometric attendance for all levels of employees from November 8. Along with this, an order has been issued to follow the Covid guidelines in the offices.
The central government has decided to restore ‘biometric’ attendance for all levels of employees from November 8. The Personnel Ministry has given information about this on Monday. The ministry has said that it will be the responsibility of the heads of departments to ensure that sanitizers are compulsorily kept near the biometric machine and all employees sanitize their hands before and after making attendance. Earlier, due to the outbreak of the corona virus epidemic, employees were exempted from biometric attendance.
Guidelines related to Covid will be strictly followed
The Personnel Ministry has said in an order to all the ministries and departments of the central government, “A physical distance of six feet must be maintained by all employees while making their attendance. If necessary, additional biometric attendance machines should be installed to avoid overcrowding. The order states that all employees will have to wear masks at all times.
“As far as possible, meetings should be conducted through video conference and meetings with visitors should be avoided unless necessary in public interest,” the order said. The Personnel Ministry said that all officers and employees will strictly follow the guidelines related to Covid at all times in the office.
