That is, the salary will increase from Rs 540 to Rs 7500 per month.

HS Tiwari, General Secretary, All India Accounts and Audit Committee, told Jagran.com that the hike in Dearness Allowance is in line with the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. By the way, the DA figure is prepared by looking at the AICPI. Railway employees will also get arrears of Dearness Allowance.

How much will increase

  • Level 1 Basic pay = 18000 रुपए
  • 3% DA Hike = Rs 540 per month
  • Yearly hike in DA = Rs 6480 per annum

(The salary of a cabinet secretary level officer will increase by Rs 7500 per month. Their basic salary is the highest at Rs 2.5 lakh.)



Earlier, the Union Cabinet had announced 78 days bonus for railway employees. Railway employees’ bonus amounted to Rs 17,950. This 78 days Productivity Linked Bonus is for non-gazetted employees. This does not include RPF/RPSF personnel. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary, All India Railway Men’s Federation (AIRF), the Railway Board gives bonus of 78 days every year around Dussehra. In this, you get Rs 7000 as a bonus for 30 days. On this basis, the amount of bonus for 78 days is made.
