New Delhi: Popular educational company Byju’s has made a big announcement for its employees. On Tuesday, the company said that it has changed the leave policy for its employees, so that employees and trainees will be able to work in a flexible manner. This includes ‘Period Leaves’ and Child Care Leaves.
Now you will get 12 days period leave
The company said in a statement that this new policy is an important step towards prioritizing employee happiness, coherence in working life, flexibility and sensitivity of the workplace. According to Byju’s new child care leave, employees with children up to 12 years can take up to seven holidays annually. These holidays can be taken several times and under this half day leave can also be taken.

Increase in maternity leave
Under the new Maternity Leaves policy, in addition to 26 weeks of paid leave, the company will also give an additional 13 weeks of paid leave to its employees. In this way, the number of paternity leave available on becoming a father has been increased from seven to 15 days.
Last year, food delivery company Zomato also took a similar decision. In August 2020, the company had announced to give 10 days period leave in a year to its women employees. Even today, periods in the country are largely a silent topic on which people do not want to talk openly.
Many times women have to face many problems during periods due to lack of cleanliness and awareness. The situation is worse in rural areas, where access and use of sanitary napkins is still not common.
