Different wage rates in different categories
The minimum wage rate has been changed according to the area. All the areas are divided into A, B and C category. There will be separate minimum wage rates for skilled, non-skilled, semi-skilled, high-skilled workers. A non-skilled worker in the construction sector will get Rs 654 per day in ‘A’ category area, Rs 546 per day in ‘B’ category area and Rs 437 per day in C category. High-skilled worker will be paid Rs 864 in A category area, Rs 795 in B category area and Rs 724 per day in C category area.

In the mining sector, those working inside the mine will get more wages than those who work outside the mine. An unskilled worker working inside the mine will get a minimum of Rs 546 per day and Rs 851 for a higher worker. An unskilled worker working above the mine will get a minimum of Rs 437 per day and a highly trained worker will get Rs 762 per day.
