7th Pay Commission: The Chief Minister said, “I am happy to announce that the government has started the process of increasing the salary of guest teachers.”
The Delhi government has directed the Directorate of Education to work on a proposal to increase the salary of guest teachers in its schools. This information has been given in an official statement. A delegation of Delhi Guest Teachers Association met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum on behalf of guest teachers posted in Delhi government schools.
They also shared their learning experiences with students in schools during the meeting, the statement said. It said, “As a gratitude to the guest teachers teaching in Delhi government schools, the Kejriwal government has ordered an increase in their salaries . This will be a gift to them before the new year and it will provide them significant relief during the pandemic.

According to the statement, keeping in view the inflation and rising cost of living and hardship being faced by the families due to COVID-19, the Delhi Government has directed the Education Department to increase the remuneration of guest and contract teachers. “I am happy to announce that the government has started the process of increasing the salary of guest teachers,” Kejriwal said.
