In fact, state-run oil company Indian Oil has launched unit code-based track and trace initiative for LPG cylinders. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information on Wednesday.
20,000 QR code LPG cylinders issued
On the occasion of World LPG Week 2022, Hardeep Singh Puri said that a special label of QR code is being put on all 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders. Under the unit code-based track, 20,000 LPG cylinders embedded with QR codes were issued in the first phase. Explain that this is a type of barcode, which can be read by a digital device. Puri said that in the next three months, all 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders will be fitted with a QR code.
