Employees- Pensioners have once again got a big facility. In fact, before Holi, a big benefit has been given to the pensioners and employees of the state by the CM.
On the one hand, the age limit for pensioners has been reduced. The same pension amount has also been increased. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday announced the state budget for the financial year 2022-23.
In this he announced that the state has decided to reduce the age limit for pensioners to 60 years and increase the monthly old age pension amount to 1,500. Earlier the monthly pension amount was Rs 1,000. The age limit for pension was 70 years ago.
CM Jai Ram Thakur presented his fifth and last budget of the present government. He also announced to increase the Member of Legislative Assembly Local Area Development Scheme (MLALAD) fund to 2 crore from the existing 1.80 crore. The budget has been increased by 20 lakhs in MLALAD fund, which is the last one before the next assembly elections to be held in December.
CM Thakur said that a total increase of Rs 90 lakh has been made in the MLALAD fund during his government. The Chief Minister also announced to increase the discretionary grant for MLAs from 10 lakh to 12 lakh per annum for the next financial year. He said that the honorarium of Mayors, Deputy Mayors and Councilors in municipal corporations has been increased from 12,000 to 15,000, 8,500 to 10,000 and 5,050 to 6,050 per month.
CM Thakur also announced to construct 1000 new Anganwadi buildings in the state. He said that during the five-year tenure of the previous Congress government, a total of 789 schemes worth Rs 3,200 crore were approved from NABARD, while 826 schemes during the current government were 3,452 crore.
