New Delhi. There is relief news for government pensioners (Govt Pensioners). Actually, the deadline for submission of Life Certificate i.e. Life Certificate for pensioners has been extended. The Modi government has extended the date for submission of life certificates online and offline till December 31. Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare has given this information.
It is noteworthy that pensioners have to submit their life certificate to get their pension without any interruption. Submission of life certificate will reveal whether the pensioner is alive or not.
Life certificate will be made online
Pensioners do not need to go themselves to get their life certificate made. Life certificate itself can be generated online also. You can generate life certificate digitally from the Central Government Life Certificate Portal https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/. Digital certificate can be generated through Aadhaar based authentication.
Life certificate can be submitted through door step service
The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare said that pensioners can submit a digital life certificate using the doorstep banking alliance of 12 public sector banks or the doorstep service of the Department of Posts. Doorstep Banking Alliance is an alliance between 12 public sector banks, which include State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank etc.
