On the occasion of New Year, telecom companies have given a big shock to their customers. Earlier Jio had reduced the validity of one of its plans. Now Vodafone Idea (Vi) has also made its cheapest plan expensive. This will affect those people the most, who take a small internet plan for some work. The increased price of this plan is visible on the company’s website.
The price had increased last year as well
Vi had also increased the price of its cheapest data plan in July last year. Then its price was increased from Rs 19 to Rs 22. Now this price has increased once again. According to the company’s website, now this plan has become Rs 23. In this plan, the company gives 1GB internet data and its validity is one day. After the latest increase, users will have to pay one rupee more for this plan.
Jio’s plan also changed
Reliance Jio gives 1.5GB data for Rs 19. Earlier the validity of this plan was equal to the base plan, but now it has been changed. Now users will get 1.5GB data for Rs 19, but its validity has been reduced to one day. That is, this plan will be valid only for one day.
Vi will start 5G service by March
Vi has said that it will start 5G connectivity in 75 big cities of the country by March. In these cities, those industrial hubs have been targeted, where data consumption is high. The company can keep the price of its 5G recharge plans up to 15 percent lower than other companies. This may increase the pressure on Airtel and Jio to make their recharge plans cheaper.
