New Delhi. Central government employees (Government Employee) are soon going to get a bumper gift of the new year. According to the information, the Central Government is going to clear the 18-month Pending DA of these employees soon. A decision on dearness allowance arrears (DA Arrears) can be taken in the next meeting of the Union Cabinet. If the pending DA for 18 months is paid, then more than Rs 2 lakh can be found in the account of many government employees.
The JCM will soon have a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Personnel and Training and Department of Expenditure. In this, there is a possibility of discussion on lump sum payment of DA arrears. The DA arrears of Level-1 employees will be between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,000. At the same time, Level-13 employees will get Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 as DA arrears. In the monsoon session of Parliament, the central government clarified that DA is being restored.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2015, the government had issued a memorandum saying that HRA will be revised from time to time with increasing DA. It is being told that the next revision in the house rent allowance will be of 3 percent.
