Lockdown Violation in Bihar: According to Bihar Police data, a total of 2183 cases of lockdown violations were reported from March 24 till now i.e. for the entire 50 days.
Patna. To prevent the infection of Corona Virus, the central government implemented a lockdown on 24 March across the country. The police was responsible for strictly following the lockdown. During this time, on behalf of the government and administration, the public was repeatedly asked to stay in their homes. Stringent action was also given if found to be in violation of the lockdown. But during this time the government’s decree was repeatedly violated. People came out of their homes despite refusing lakhs. The Bihar Police has taken strict action against such people.
This concession has been given for three days
However, under the SOP issued by the MHA in the past days, the state government has given permission to order online food restaurants with electronic stores as well as many essential shops on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, three days a week. Despite this, people are not deterred by needlessly leaving their homes. The lockdown was strictly followed by the state capital Patna or some other district police of the state with strict action against those who violated it. According to the data received by the Bihar Police, a total of 2183 cases of lockdown violations were reported for the entire 50 days from March 24 till now. FIRs were registered in different police stations. Apart from this, 2047 people who broke the lockdown were arrested and sent to jail. While in lockdown, 70 thousand 203 vehicles were seized without administrative permission and running on the nearby road.

More than Rs 16 crore recovered as fine,
Bihar Police, while taking action in different districts including the capital, collected a total of Rs 16 crore 25 lakh 08 thousand 136 as fine. If we talk about tomorrow i.e. on Friday, then 44 people were arrested in the lockdown violation case throughout Bihar. Apart from this, 14 FIRs were registered. Also, 1078 vehicles were seized. While Rs 32 lakh 10 thousand 950 was recovered as penalty.
Police action will continue
According to Bihar Police Headquarters, this action of the police against those who violated the lockdown will continue. The case of corona virus infection is increasing rapidly. In this situation, the government can extend the lockdown period beyond May 17. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given this indication during a meeting with PM Narendra Modi through VC recently.
