A helicopter carrying senior army officers including Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat has crashed in Tamil Nadu. It is reported that 4 people have died in the accident. At the same time, according to reports, there were about 14 people in the helicopter. The name of the wife of CDS Rawat is also included in the passengers. Officials have informed that three officers have been saved so far. The injured have been taken to the cantonment of Nilgiris.
According to news agency ANI, some of his staff and family members were also present in the Mi series chopper along with Bipin Rawat. The rescue work has started as soon as the news of the accident was received.

An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. This information was given by the Indian Air Force. According to the information, Bipin Rawat, Madhulika Rawat, Brigadier LS Lidder, Lt Col Harjinder Singh, NK Gurusevak Singh, NK Jitendra Kumar, Vivek Kumar, B Sai Teja, Hav Satpal were present.
