Broadband Rate: After mobile prepaid recharge, telecom companies are now preparing to increase the prices of broadband plans providing internet facility. This will give a blow to the consumers taking internet services on a large scale. Broadband internet service provider companies may soon increase their rates. A top official of Internet service company Meghbela Broadband indicated this on Sunday. He said that the time of very low-cost telecom service has now passed.
After the prepaid tariff plan, now the increase in rates will be for broadband. All major telecom companies have increased their tariff rates by 20 percent, citing to keep their business strong. Tapavrat Mukherjee, co-founder of Meghbela Broadband, said that like telecom internet services, there is a need to increase the Average Earning Per Customer (ARPU) for broadband too.
