New Delhi. Along with mobile phones in the country, the popularity of the telecom companies associated with them and their market is also seen increasing.
Although private telecom companies are dominated, but if we talk about government telecom companies, then the name of Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) comes first on the tongue. Last month, BSNL made some changes in its prepaid and postpaid plans. Let us know what they were and how they will affect you…
BSNL made changes in prepaid plans
Last month, BSNL made some major changes in its prepaid plans. As part of the indirect tax hike, BSNL did not change the price of its prepaid plan but cut the benefits of the plan. Now BSNL is going to increase the charges of its postpaid plans.
BSNL will displace the customers of this plan
Taking a step towards increasing the price of its postpaid plans, BSNL has said that they are discontinuing their Rs 99 postpaid plan. The customers who have taken this plan can complete the validity of this plan and after that the customer will get an SMS about the closure of this plan.
What will be written in this sms
All BSNL users will get an SMS from the company in which it will be written that the company is discontinuing its Rs 99 plan and hence users will be shifted to plan 199 from 1st September. Also, all the information about plan 199 will also be given in this message.
Rs 99 and Rs 199 postpaid plans
The customer used to get unlimited calling, 100 SMS daily and 25GB internet for the whole month in the Rs 99 plan. Now you will get all these facilities for Rs 199. That is, there is no difference between the benefits of both the plans but the price has been increased from Rs 100.
BSNL reduced the validity of plans
BSNL has reduced the validity of many of its other plans. Let us tell you that BSNL’s entry-level voucher of Rs 49, whose validity was 28 days, has now been reduced to 24 days. While the Rs 75 prepaid plan will now be valid for 50 days instead of 60, the Rs 94 STV will come with a validity of only 75 days instead of 90 days. Vouchers of Rs 106 and Rs 207 will now come with validity of 84 days instead of 100 days and if you take a prepaid plan of Rs 197 from this telecom company, then it will give you benefits for 150 days instead of 180 days.
