If sources are to be believed, this time home buyers can get a big relief in the budget. The government can announce a new housing scheme in the budget. Apart from this, there can be a discount on home loan interest on buying or building a house. Apart from this, an interest subsidy scheme of up to 3-6% on home loan interest can be announced. In the new scheme, an interest subsidy scheme can be announced for houses up to 50 lakhs, before this there was an interest subsidy scheme for houses up to 18 lakhs. There is also a discount on the size of the house in the interest subsidy scheme. The government can start a new scheme from September.

People should have their own pucca houses, this is the priority of the government

Let us tell you that everyone in the country should have pucca houses, this is already included in the priorities of the government. The NDA government has indicated this to the people in its first meeting itself. In the first cabinet meeting of Modi 3.0, PM Modi took decisions related to the needs of farmers and common people, in which the plan to build 3 crore houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) was approved.

What is PM Awas Yojana?

The government launched PMAY in June 2015. This scheme is run in both rural and urban India. In rural India, it is run as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) and in cities it is run as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U). Under the PM Awas Yojana, the government provides subsidy on home loans. The amount of subsidy depends on the size of the house and income. Under this scheme, banks are encouraged to provide home loans at a low interest rate. The maximum repayment period for home loans under the scheme is 20 years. Statistics show that more than 4.1 crore houses have been built under PMAY in the last 10 years.

Who can take advantage of this scheme?

People whose annual income is up to Rs 18 lakh can take advantage of this scheme. People associated with EWS whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh are also eligible for this scheme. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the applicant must be 18 years of age. Also, it is necessary to be a citizen of India. But keep in mind that the benefit of the scheme can be availed only if you do not already have a permanent house. Even if someone in the family has a government job, the benefit of this scheme cannot be availed. Apart from this, the benefit of this scheme will not be available to those families who are taking advantage of any housing scheme of the Government of India or the State Government.
