What did the railway minister say
Giving a hint about the bullet train fare, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the fare of the bullet train will be less than the flight, and will be equal to the fare of First AC. The Railway Minister said that although no decision has been taken on the fare of bullet train yet, its fare will be accessible to the people.
The train fare will be less than the flight fare and many modern facilities will be provided in it. First AC fare is being made the basis for bullet train fare. After the completion of the bullet train project, the fare will be fixed.
The first bullet train will run in 2026
The Railway Minister said that the target of running the country’s first bullet train between Surat and Bilimora in Gujarat in 2026 will be achieved as good progress is being made in this direction. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was in Surat on Monday to inspect the bullet train project.
Train will run between Mumbai to Ahmedabad
There is a proposal to run bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad at a speed of 320 kmph. There is a total distance of 508 km between the two cities and it will have 12 stations. This train will reduce the travel time between the two cities to three hours. Right now it takes six hours. The total estimated cost of this project is Rs 1.1 lakh crore. Out of this, 81 percent funding is being done by the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
