Bullet Train Route: Bullet trains will run on 10 routes in the country. A day earlier, in the BJP’s manifesto, the Prime Minister had announced to run bullet trains on three more new routes. Before this, six routes of Bullet Train have been identified and work on the Ahmedabad to Mumbai route is going on at a fast pace. Apart from Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, there are preparations to run Bullet on six more routes in future. Feasibility reports have been prepared on all these six routes. The work of preparing DPR on two of these routes will start after the elections.

Feasibility report has been prepared for Delhi-Amritsar, Howrah-Varanasi-Patna, Delhi-Agra-Lucknow-Varanasi, Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Nashik-Nagpur, Mumbai-Hyderabad corridors.
DPR of these routes will be made after the elections
According to Railways, after Ahmedabad-Mumbai, bullet train will be run between Howrah-Varanasi and Delhi-Armatsar. The process of making DPR will start after the Lok Sabha elections. DPR work will be completed in six to eight months.
A look at the bullet train
National High Speed Rail Corporation is constructing India’s first high speed rail line of 508 km long between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. For the first time in the country, an undersea tunnel is going to be built in this corridor. Its work has also started. The trial of the train will start between Bilimora and Surat in the year 2026. Land acquisition work has been completed in Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Maharashtra.
