At the same time, only Rs 8.9 lakh can be earned by planting an apple orchard in one hectare. Whereas vegetable production, especially tomatoes, can earn only Rs 2 to 2.5 lakh.

It is not possible to cultivate Kiwi in areas with high temperatures. This fruit is cultivated only in those places where the weather is mostly cold. Where generally the temperature does not go above 30 degrees. Kiwi cultivation can be done there. Farmers are cultivating it in the hilly and cold climate states of the country. Let us tell you that Nagaland and other north-eastern states are playing a better role in the production of exotic fruits like Kiwi. Along with increasing the income of farmers here due to kiwi production, the field of horticulture has also expanded. The economy of the state has also got a boost. In such a situation, there is a demand to give Nagaland the status of ‘Kiwi State’.
