Canara Bank Fixed Deposit Rates: After RBI reduced the repo rate yesterday, most banks are reducing the interest rates on FDs. Yesterday evening itself, Kotak Bank had reduced the rates of FDs and today Canara Bank has reduced the interest rates on FDIs. Canara Bank has shocked crores of customers. Canara Bank has reduced the interest rate on some of its term FDs by 0.20 percent. These new rates have come into effect from today, Thursday 10 April 2025.

Canara Bank reduced interest on these FDs

After RBI reduced the repo rate, Canara Bank has reduced the interest rates on FDs. Canara Bank has reduced the interest rates on FDs of more than 2 years but less than 3 years and more than 3 years but less than 5 years by 0.20 percent.

According to the website of Canara Bank, the new rates have come into effect from April 10, 2025. These interest rates have been revised on FDs up to Rs 3 crore. Canara Bank is offering FDs from 7 days to 10 years. After the revision, Canara Bank is offering 4 percent to 7.20 percent interest on FD to the general public and 4 percent to 7.70 percent to senior citizens.

New interest rates on Canara Bank FD

Canara Bank is now offering an interest rate of 4% on EPDs maturing between 7 to 45 days and 5.25% on deposits maturing between 46 to 90 days. Canara Bank is offering an interest rate of 5.50 percent on deposits maturing between 91 to 179 days and 6.15 percent on deposits maturing between 180 to 269 days.

Here you are told the rates of callable and non-callable FDs. You can withdraw money before time in callable FDs. You cannot withdraw money before time in non-callable FDs. If you withdraw, you will have to pay a charge.
