Car Prices Hike: Bad news! Maruti Suzuki cars will become costlier by Rs 32,500 from February 1, see details

Car Prices Hike: “Although the company is committed to optimise costs and minimise the impact on customers, we are forced to pass on a part of the increased costs to the market,” the company said in an exchange filing.

Car Prices Hike: If you are also planning to buy a new car for yourself or your family next month, then there is bad news for you. The country’s largest automobile company Maruti Suzuki is going to increase the prices of its different models by up to Rs 32,500 from February 1. The company said on Thursday that this step will help in reducing the impact of the increase in the cost of raw materials to some extent. Maruti Suzuki India said in a notice to the stock market, “Due to rising cost of raw materials and operating expenses, the company is planning to increase car prices from February 1, 2025.”

The price of Celerio will increase by Rs 32,500

“Although the company is committed to optimise costs and minimise the impact on customers, we are forced to pass on some part of the increased costs to the market,” the company said in an exchange filing. Due to this decision of the company, the ex-showroom price of Maruti Suzuki’s compact car Celerio will increase by Rs 32,500, while the price of the premium model Invicto will increase by Rs 30,000. The price of the company’s most popular model Wagon-R will increase by Rs 15,000, while the price of Swift will increase by Rs 5,000.

Alto K10 price to increase by Rs 19,500

Apart from these, the price of SUV Brezza will increase by Rs 20,000 and Grand Vitara by Rs 25,000. The company said that the price of entry-level small car Alto K10 will increase by Rs 19,500 and S-Presso by Rs 5,000. The price of premium compact model Baleno will increase by Rs 9,000, compact SUV Frontx will increase by Rs 5,500 and compact sedan Dzire will increase by Rs 10,000. The company currently sells cars in different categories, from entry-level Alto K10 (starting price Rs 3.99 lakh) to Invicto priced at Rs 28.92 lakh.
