According to media reports, the ministry has submitted the proposal in this regard to the government and objections and information have also been invited.

Traffic workers will take the smoke spewing vehicle to the testing center

According to the proposed improvement in the traffic rules, if an employee of the traffic department is seen polluting a vehicle, he can take it to the pollution testing center. A written provision has been made for vehicle owners. The driver or the vehicle owner will not have the pollution control certificate or he has failed, he may have to face rigorous imprisonment.




Three months jail with a fine of Rs 10,000

According to the new rule proposed by the ministry, if the owners do not have pollution control certificate, they can face a jail term of 3 months. In addition, he may also have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. It is also said in the proposal that the license of the vehicle owners can be confiscated for 3 months of the sentence.

Ministry has already proposed to change the rules

Actually, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has already proposed a change in the Central Vehicle Manual. Before getting the pollution control certificate, a provision has been made to get SMS on the registered mobile number. In addition, this new rule can prove to be effective in preventing vehicle theft. After this, the information about the pollution control certificate that looks similar across the country will be entered in the National Register.
