Many people get their Aadhaar card laminated or print it on a plastic sheet and make it a smart aadhaar card. Explain that getting this done is wrong. UIDAI itself believes that doing so may steal your personal data.

Aadhaar card is initially made of a thick paper, but later people get it laminated to keep it safe. There are also many people who make a plastic card of Aadhaar card, which looks exactly like a pan card. If you have also got Lamination aadhaar card or made a smart aadhaar card, then be careful. UIDAI has warned that those doing so may suffer heavy losses. The Authority believes that such Aadhaar cards are illegal.
What could be the harm?
UIDAI has said that doing so may steal people’s personal information. Not only this, the Aadhar card’s QR code can also stop working. The authority has also made it clear not to use plastic Aadhaar or smart Aadhaar cards.
Which base valid?
The authority has said in its statement that the Aadhaar or Aadhaar downloaded on an ordinary paper other than the original Aadhaar is completely valid. In such a situation, there is no need to get involved in smart Aadhaar.

Aadhaar gets downloaded for free
UIDAI has stated that there is no need for Aadhaar with color print, black and white Aadhaar is completely valid everywhere. It is also clearly stated that there is no need to laminate the base or to make a plastic base of it. If your Aadhaar is lost or ripped off, you can download it again for free from eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and use it everywhere.
Plastic base made up to 300 rupees
Shopkeepers charge from Rs 50 to Rs 300 for making plastic Aadhaar or for making a smart Aadhaar card. In this, the base is printed on a plastic or PVC sheet. Although this card looks very good and lasts very long, but UIDAI has said that people need to avoid creating such a base.
