There is a big news for the students and their parents appearing for the CBSE CISCE Exam. The Supreme Court has refused to conduct the first session examination of CBSE and ICSC in hybrid mode.
For your information, let us tell you that due to Covid-19, a petition was filed to conduct the first session of 10th and 12th examinations in hybrid mode, which has been rejected by the Supreme Court. In this issue, all the students wanted that their examination should be conducted in online mode also so that they are not compelled to take the examination in offline mode only.
What is Hybrid Mode Exam
Examination in hybrid mode means that students are given the option to choose between offline mode and online mode to take the exam. So that all the students and their parents can choose any one according to their convenience. But the Supreme Court has rejected this demand, leaving no other option left with the parents and students. After this decision, all the students will have to take the exam in offline mode only.
Supreme Court rejected the demand because
The Supreme Court dismissed this writ petition of the students, due to which now the 10th and 12th examination will be held in offline mode. With this, now the term 1 examination of CBSE and ICSC board will no longer be conducted in the hybrid board. The Supreme Court said that it would not be right to do this now. Because the CBSE Board Term Exam has already started on 16th November. And now any kind of interference will hinder the examination. At the same time, the ICSC exam will also be conducted on November 22. Therefore, no consideration will be given to the writ petitions made by the students. The Supreme Court bench (bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and CT Ravikumar) said that they are sure that the authorities concerned will follow the COVID protocol and all precautions will be taken.
The examination will be conducted following the Covid guidelines
For your information, let us tell you that as now the examinations will be in offline mode only, it is obvious for all the students and their parents to be worried. Keeping this in mind, the concerned authorities have made all arrangements so that there should not be any undesirable problem and there is no negligence of any kind. During the examination, the safety of all the people including the students will be taken care of. To give information about the steps taken by CBSE for this, Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta told on behalf of CBSE that all preparations have been made to address any concern related to Covid.
He told that CBSE has increased the number of examination centers this time as compared to earlier. Instead of the earlier 6500 centres, this time the examination will be conducted in a total of 15,000 centres. By doing this, not only will social distancing increase but the time taken to reach the centers will also be reduced. Also, only 12 students will be able to sit in one center. Whereas earlier this number was 40 students. Even this time, keeping in mind the safety of everyone, the duration of the exam has also been changed. Earlier it used to be of 3 hours but this time it will be of 90 minutes (one and a half hours).
