CBSE Board Exam 2025: If someone fails in any one subject in the 10th examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, then that subject will be replaced by the skill subject. CBSE has issued information regarding this. So that children prepare keeping in mind getting good marks in skill subjects along with the main subjects. If one fails in any one of the subjects of Science, Mathematics and Social Science in the 10th board examination, it will be replaced by the skill subject (selected as the sixth additional subject). Similarly, students appearing in the 12th board examinations will get the benefit. The board has said that this will benefit those children who are weak in any subject.
CBSE has introduced 22 skill subjects in class IX-X. These include subjects like Apparel, Data Science, Multi Media, Security, Agriculture etc.

- Subject 1 Language 1 100
- Subject 2 Language 2 100
- Subject 3 Science 100
- Subject 4 Maths 100
- Subject 5 Social Science 100
- Subject 6 (Additional) Skill Subject 100
If a student studies three compulsory subjects (i.e. Science, Maths and Social Science) and also chooses to study a skill subject (offered as the sixth optional subject), then the sum of the best five including two languages ​​(Subjects 1 and 2) and the best three out of subjects 3, 4, 5 and 6 including skill subjects can be considered for calculating percentage.
