CBSE Board New Plan: No marks in CBSE 10th, 12th, you will get credit, you will have to study three languages, know what changes are being prepared.

CBSE: CBSE Board has prepared for major changes in the studies of class 10th and 12th. The proposal prepared by the board includes plans ranging from increasing the number of subjects in classes 10th and 12th to abolishing the number system.


New Delhi. CBSE is preparing to make major changes in the educational structure at high school and intermediate level. CBSE has prepared a proposal. According to which, class 10th students will have to give papers of 10 subjects instead of five. Also, you will have to study three languages ​​instead of two. In which there will be essentially two Indian languages. In this way there will be three languages ​​and seven other subjects. On similar lines, 12th class students will have to study two languages ​​instead of one. In which there will be essentially an Indian language. According to the proposal, intermediate students will have to pass in six subjects. At present, students of class 10th and 12th have to pass five subjects each.

According to Indian Express, this proposal is part of CBSE’s broader initiative to implement the National Credit Framework in school education. Its objective is to establish academic equality between vocational and general education.

No number, now you will get credit

CBSE plans to remove the number system and implement credit. According to the proposal, there will be around 1200 hours of study in an academic year. For which you will get 40 credits. This means that any student will have to spend a total of 1200 hours of learning to pass. This will include academic education, non-academic and experimental education outside school.

Which subjects will be there in class 10?

Three languages ​​are proposed in class 10, including two Indian languages. Apart from this, the seven subjects that are proposed are Mathematics and Computation Thinking, Social Science, Art Education, Physical Education and Well Being, Vocational Education and Environmental Education. In this, evaluation of all three languages, Mathematics and Computation Thinking, Social Science, Environmental Education will be done in the form of external examination. Whereas other subjects will be evaluated both externally and internally. But students will have to pass in all 10 subjects.
