new Delhi. Big news for CBSE Students (CBSE). The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, taking a major decision, announced the reduction of the 9th to 12th class syllabus (CBSE syllabus) by 30 per cent. This syllabus will be applicable for the 2020-21 season. Students who appear for the CBSE board exams next year in the CBSE syllabus have removed courses like Secularism, Nationalism, Citizenship, Demonetisation and Democratic. The decision has been welcomed by representatives of various schools. However a section of academics alleged that the move appears to be ideologically motivated.

Syllabus removed for one year only

Taking the decision, it has been told that this syllabus (CBSE Board Syllabus 2020) has been reduced for one year only. That is, after the annual examination of 2020-2021, 9th and 11th students (9th and 11th students) will have to study the complete syllabus in 10th and 12th. It is believed that this decision has been taken in view of the epidemic of Coronavirus Effect in Board Examination.

Information provided through tele counseling

The board is giving this information to the students through tele counseling. According to Counselor Kumud Srivastava, the syllabus has been cut only for the 2021 board examinations for the annual examinations.

Know what the board said

CBSE claimed that the changes made in the school syllabus are being investigated separately. The Board has clarified that this decision has been taken for one year only i.e. 2020-2021 in view of the corona virus epidemic. Along with this, the board claimed that this decision was taken due to the current health emergency and the difficulties faced by the study. The board gave this clarification amid controversy over the removal of some chapters from the syllabus.

Teachers objected

At the same time, teachers have objected to this decision. They say that there is a loss of children by reducing syllabus. At the same time, its biggest loss is more to the children of 9th and 11th. They will cut the syllabus in the annual examination, but when they go to 10th and 12th in 2021, then it will be difficult for them to read those topics, the first part of which they will not read yet. Political parties have also criticized this decision.
