CBSE Board Exam 2024: A big update has come out on the date sheet for CBSE 10th and 12th students. The examinations will be conducted from 15th February to 10th April.
CBSE Board Exam 2024: Only a few months are left for the CBSE Board exams. Students have started preparing for the examination. All the students have been waiting for the announcement of the exam date for a long time. The wait for the students still continues. Students are waiting for the Date Sheet 2024 for a long time but till now no official announcement has been made by the Central Board of Secondary Education to release the date sheet. However, before this a notice was issued for 10th and 12th board exam in July 2023. In which it was said that the board examinations will be held starting from 15th February till 10th April. The examination will be conducted for 55 days. Students can check the date sheet by visiting cbse.gov.in website.
Announcement of date sheet postponed due to upcoming elections?
It is estimated that the date sheet will be released soon. However, it is being said that this year CBSE Date Sheet 2024 is expected to be delayed by a few weeks. 2024 is the year of general elections, hence CBSE can postpone the release of the datesheet until the ECI announces the schedule of general elections. Information has come from sources close to the officials that CBSE has sought clarity on the dates from ECT. Once they get approval on this, the board will release the datesheet.
Important information related to board exam
The board exam 2024 paper will have 50% aptitude based questions while 20% response type questions will be asked. Along with 20% multiple choice questions, it will be mandatory to give 30% questions in short answer and long answer. It is believed that more than 38 lakh students can appear in the examination. The dates of practical examination have been announced. Practical examinations will start from January 1. Whereas the practical examination in winter school has started from today i.e. 14th November. Students preparing for practical examinations have been instructed by the school to submit internal assessment projects.
Marking scheme of practical exam
For class 10th, 50 marks have been prescribed by the board for practical subjects like Computer, Painting, Music, IT, Security, Health Care, Multimedia and Introduction to Financial Market. There will be 20 marks for internal assessment of subjects like Mathematics, Hindi, English, Science and Social Science. Similarly, 30 marks have been fixed for the practical examination of Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Geography, Biotechnology and Physical Education of class 12th. 50 marks have been prescribed for subjects like painting, commercial art, dance, home science. It is advised to see the official notice for additional information.
