CBSE Baord Exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education has ended the age-old tradition related to results. Now division, percentage and distinction will not be available in 10th and 12th examinations. The marks obtained in all subjects will be shown in the result. CBSE has also issued a notice in this regard. Let us tell you that CBSE has already closed the merit list.
What did CBSE say in the notice?
According to the notice, various persons requested CBSE to specify the criteria for calculating the percentage of classes 10th and 12th. Therefore, the Board has decided not to give any overall division/distinction/aggregate under sub-section 40.1 (i) of Chapter-7 of the examination bye-laws. CBSE will not be responsible for calculating and declaring the percentage. According to the notice, if a student chooses more than five subjects, it will be the responsibility of the admission taking institute or employer to choose the best 5 subjects. This means that now only the name of the student, roll number, name of the subject, marks, total marks obtained and name of the school will remain in the result.
