new Delhi. In an order issued by the central government, it has been said that central employees will have to wait till next year for the increment. According to an order issued by the Department of Personal Training (DoPT), the central government has extended the period for completion of the Annual Performance Assessment Report (APAR) of central employees for 2019-20. It has been extended to March 2021 next year. Earlier this period was kept till 31 December 2020. In March too, the government extended the Appraisal Process till December. It is clear from the new order that now the central employees will have to wait till March 2021 for the increment.
These officers will be affected by the new government order
According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel (DoPT) on 11 June, the completion period of APAR for 2019-20 has been extended from December 2020 to March 2021, keeping in view the current conditions. This decision will affect the officers of Group A, B and C. The government extended the period on 30 March 2020 due to the lockdown. The process, usually completed by 31 May, was extended to December 2020.
According to the government order, by May 31, central employees can take the online form , by May 31, all the employees had to complete the work of taking the blank form or online form. This is the first phase of increment of central employees. Due to the lockdown, it was not completed till 31 May. Therefore, the government has now extended its period to 31 July 2020. Under normal circumstances, the reporting officer has to submit the self-appraisal by 30 June. It has now been extended to 31 August 2020.

employees cannot file with these forms, the process has to be processed by December 31
. The form has to be sent to the APAR cell by 15 November. After this, the appraisal process has to be completed by 31 December. Time has been kept till 15 January 2021 for further processing. After this, the process will run till 31 March at an interval of 15 days. The process of APAR is to be completed by 31 March 2021. Actually, during the lockdown, due to the rotation shift in the office, the officials have not been able to join the appraisal process. This is the reason why the performance review is delayed.
