From 8th November i.e. tomorrow, the big facility available to government employees will end. Now employees will have to register biometric attendance in the office. The central government has issued a guideline for this.
Covid Guidelines: There is big news for government employees. All the facilities being given to government employees during the Kovid epidemic are now being abolished. All these concessions are expiring from 8 November 2021. Now government employees will have to register full time attendance in the office. Biometric Attendance for recording attendance is being implemented again from tomorrow i.e. Monday.
Government issued orders
Notification has also been issued in all central offices regarding Biometric Attendance. According to Umesh Kumar Bhatia, Deputy Secretary in the Government of India, ‘In view of the Corona epidemic, concessions such as calling less number of employees in offices and reducing working hours were already abolished. Now from November 8, every employee will have to register biometric attendance.
Know what is in the government order?
- A complete guideline has been issued by the central government for this.
- According to the government guidelines, it will be mandatory to have a sanitizer near the biometric machine.
- All employees will have to sanitize their hands before and after registering attendance.
- Employees will have to maintain a distance of six feet among themselves while registering biometric attendance.
- All employees will be required to wear a mask or wear a face covering at all times.
- Designated personnel should be deployed to clean the touchpad of the biometric machine frequently.
- These employees will tell the Kovid guidelines to the employees coming to register their attendance.
- The biometric machine should be kept in an open environment.
- If the machine is inside, there should be adequate natural ventilation.
Many good news for central employees
In the meeting of the Union Cabinet, along with increasing the dearness allowance of central employees by 3%, the bonus for July has also been given. For the period from July to December, the dearness allowance of central employees has been increased by 3 percent. That is, now the DA in the basic salary of central employees has increased to 31 percent. The increased allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2021.
