In a statement issued by Kotak Mahindra Bank, it has been said that the new interest rates for home loans will start from Ganesh Chaturthi.
Earlier, the bank’s home loans had an initial interest rate of 6.65 per cent. At the same time, the interest rates are different for Salaried and Self Employed.
Largest government bank SBI home loan
The country’s largest bank SBI is offering home loans up to Rs 30 lakh at a minimum rate of 6.9 per cent and home loans above Rs 30 lakh at a minimum rate of 7 per cent.
There is an additional discount of 0.05% (5 bps) on applying for a loan through the YONO app. Apart from this, in 8 cities of the country, the bank is giving a discount of 0.2 percent (20 bps) in interest rates for loans up to Rs 3 crore.
This discount is available for loans up to Rs.30 lakh to Rs.2 crore for the remaining locations. A rebate of 25 basis points (0.25 per cent) will be available on home loans above Rs 75 lakh. However, keep one thing in mind that the relaxation in interest rates is linked to the credit score.
PNB waives service charge on all loans
PNB has announced a waiver of all retail loan charges. It has been said by the bank that processing fee will not be charged on products like home loan, auto loan, personal loan, property loan, pension loan and gold loan. Not only this, service charge and documentation charge have also been waived on all these loans.

India Post Payment Bank also made a big announcement
Recently India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) has entered into a strategic partnership with LIC Housing (LICHFL) to provide the facility of housing loan products to its customers.
In this, LICHFL will provide home loan products, while the loan source will be IPPB. According to India Post Payment Bank, home loans up to Rs 50 lakh to the salaried class will be available at 6.66 per cent.
