The cheapest test kit of Kovid-19, developed by scientists and young researchers from IIT Delhi, was launched yesterday. Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank launched the ‘Corrosure RT-PCR’ kit.

IIT Delhi Kovid-19 is the first educational institute to produce ‘CorsoR RT-PCR’ kit. The price of this kit will be Rs 650, while still the market has to spend Rs 4500. Government labs or hospitals can obtain this kit through ICMR. While private hospitals will be able to buy directly from the company.
IIT Director Prof. Rao said that this would change the paradigm of the Kovid-19 probe in terms of both scale and cost in the country. He said that this product approved by Indian Council of Medical Research and Controller General of India is being offered.
